Inspired by tales of sea creatures and shipwrecks, I created this octopus coded sea monster. She has tentacles in her hair and below her waist, and mottled colors on her skin. I made her face open and kind, perhaps a little confused. She doesn’t pull the ships to the bottom of the ocean out of malice, just curiosity. They’re just so delicate, they crumble in her grasp.
Giclee prints are made with archival materials including lightfast inks and heavy rag stock papers. Prints are shipped unframed in protective sleeves.
