One of my favorite whale behaviors is how sperm whales sleep vertically in the water column. It’s absolutely striking and beautiful. If you’ve never seen it, I highly recomend looking it up. It’s eerie and serene at the same time. That was the inspiration for this mermaid. She’s floating at rest. I kept her head above water to eleminate any optortunity for it seeming anything but peaceful. The pink garment keeps it delicate and serene. Very iconic whale imagery. Hope you love her too!
