I got a little obsessive drawing all the little circles on these leaves to generate the soft, downy texture of the leaves on this sage illustration. I find it rather meditative to lock in on the details. Sage is such a homey herb. It reminds me of more peaceful times, and beloved family members I have lost. I think a lot of people are familiar with the scent, but aren’t aware of where it comes from. Herbs are probably a love language.
