I love flowers in general, but there’s a special place for cone flowers in my heart. Not just because of the medicinal aspects of the echinacea, but just because of how exuberant they are. They’re big and showy, but even as they fade, they’re still beautiful in their own way. The textural aspects of their “cone” are always delightful. I love how the stigma stick out aggressively over their skirt of petals. Any time I can stare at examples of Fibonacci numbers in person, I’m there!
