For spooky season, I wanted to put together a collection pairing skulls and flowers. I had a bunch of small flowers I wanted to use for one of these illustrations so I wanted to pair them with something small so they wouldn’t be over powered. Personally, I love small rodents. They’re so cute! Selecting a mouse for this illustration seemed the obvious choice. However, because it’s all so small, I thought it needed another aspect. Snails felt like a perfect addition.
This illustration includes a mouse, forget me nots, lily of the valley, and snails. Or, as I’ve started calling it, All The Small Things. Because it delights me. All those tiny flowers were delicate and intricate and included way more colors than I expected. I love it all!
