I uploaded these a little while ago but I forgot to post about them!  I had a simply fantastic time shooting pictures with the Bates family.  They were all just a delight to work with.  We talked at length ahead of time and it turned out we have a very similar aesthetic!  That’s always a fantastic plus.  In the end they were really happy with the pictures and I was pleased to have been a part of it all.  Their pictures begin here.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

I had a great time working with Marie on her senior pictures.  She had a rough experience with a previous photographer  and was apprehensive.  By the end of our time she was really happy and in the end, thrilled with the pictures.  She’s planning on attending a fashion design school after she graduates and wore clothes she made for our shoot!  Some selected images from the shoot begin here.  Good luck in your pursuits!  I know you’ll be fantastic.

This year I have been too busy with weddings to do any new paintings for the Minnesota State Fair.  So I decided to submit one of my photographs to the competition instead.  I entered this image of a child giving a dandelion.  I did not make it into the exhibit this year.  In addition, I decided to not participate in the overflow show due to high gas costs and time constraints.  Better luck next year!

I was very pleased to photograph S and C’s small wedding in St. Paul.  They have been together for many years and the entire event was very close and tender.  The Landmark Center was a stunning backdrop to their event and a joy to shoot.  The groom’s brother was his best man and gave a very entertaining speach, closing with a very moving poem.  The images for this wedding begin here.  It was a wonderful time!  Thank you for having me!

With the full force of the wedding season I completely forgot to post about Race for the Cure!  I attended the 2008 race in Bloomington, MN and took quite a few pictures.  It’s a really wonderful event drawing huge crowds every year.  I’ve uploaded them to a folder in the events gallery located here.  I hope you enjoy the pictures!  It was a simply glorious day!

Pictures from CONvergence 2008 have been uploaded to the gallery! It was another fantastic con that seemed to go very fast despite the extra day. There were so many great costumes and I only got a small fraction of them all. The CONvergence 2008 gallery is located here. I hope you enjoy them because I had a blast taking them!

It’s been a busy month but I’ve finally had an opportunity to upload some images from J and M’s wedding.  They were a very loving couple and it was a pleasure to attend their wedding.  The only troublesome part of the day were the mosquitoes, but they didn’t let that stop them!  I had a lot of fun working with everyone and the families were simply a joy.  The images from this wedding start here.  I hope you enjoy them!

It was threatening to storm all day long but that didn’t put a damper on the festivities of K and D’s wedding.  It was an extremely fun group and the bride’s hockey team were a vibrant addition.  The storms did arrive as the dancing started to get into full swing.  We were able to use to fantastic cloud formations as a backdrop to some more portraits!  I was very grateful to be a part of their special day.   I’ve uploaded some images from their event starting here.  I hope you enjoy them!
